Make sure you’re logged out, then click on "Forgot password?" in the app. You’ll then receive an e-mail allowing you to create a new password.
Once you have logged in, you can click on “Change password” in the Login and Security category of your profile and enter and save your new password.
Please first make sure that the documents you want to check are valid and meet our criteria.
You will receive specific instructions by e-mail if the validation and activation of your driving license and ID document did not work. Please also pay attention to the instructions in the app during the validation process so that your documents and your face can be scanned correctly and the data can then be processed.

Outside the business area you can park a MILES car only for a stopover during your rental, but not end the rental there.
If you want to make a stopover outside the business area in a paid parking lot, the purchase of a valid parking ticket is required. These costs will not be reimbursed by MILES.
Important note: In underground garages or other covered parking garages you cannot park with MILES!
With MILES, the calculation is based on the number of kilometers driven at the standard rate. The hvv switch app therefore displays the number of kilometers driven rather than the time driven. There is also an additional “unlock fee” of €1-2 (depending on the vehicle type) to reduce the excess in the event of damage. This fee is mandatory.
When parking mode is activated via the app, all doors of the car are automatically locked. The MILES car is only available to you and cannot be rented by other drivers. However, billing in parking mode is based on a price per minute. For vans, the loading and unloading times are billed as parking minutes.

It can occasionally happen that your hvv Deutschlandticket or booked tickets are not displayed after a downtime. If this happens to you, please delete the hvv switch app from your smartphone and reinstall it. You will then be able to view your purchased tickets as usual.
We will automatically guide you through the necessary steps to book a service for the first time via the hvv switch app.
- To purchase an hvv ticket, you will need to provide your first and last name. You will also need a suitable payment method, such as PayPal, bank details, or a debit or credit card, which we can use to charge for the ticket.
- If you want to book a MOIA, we need your cell phone number in addition to the information mentioned above.
- To book a Voi e-scooter, you must be at least 18 years old.
- For SIXT share, MILES, and cambio, you must also save your registered address and driver's license information and have this information validated.
