Cambio cars are charged when they are not on the road. It is therefore necessary to state the estimated distance you would like to drive when making the reservation so that the charging time for the car can be calculated in advance. On return, the electric car must be connected to a charging station and the charging process started. You can find out how to start the charging process for the different vehicle models here.

Please note that invoicing for your cambio ride can take up to 14 days after the end of your booking. Only then will the amount due be debited.
You will receive a separate invoice for each booking, which we will send you by e-mail. You can of course also download this invoice from your journey history.

No. Cambio cars must be returned to the station or hvv switch point where the rental began. To end your rental correctly and avoid incurring additional costs, you must return the cambio car to the same cambio station or hvv switch point at the end of your journey and end the rental there.

Without submitting feedback, you cannot book any more rides - neither with autonomous nor with classic MOIA vehicles.

Cambio cars are covered by liability insurance. In the event of an accident, the maximum excess payable is €300 when using the hvv switch app.

The excess applies per claim.

You can deactivate the beta function in the following ways:

  • via the link in the email communication,
  • directly in the app,
  • or by contacting hvv switch customer service.

Please note: After deactivation, it is no longer possible to book further autonomous journeys. Re-entry into the test group requires re-registration and activation.

The ‘MOIA Express’ option ensures that you reach your destination more directly and with shorter walking distances. You can see the pick-up and drop-off points before you book. This allows you to plan your route to the MOIA shuttle even better.
