A so-called MOIA stop is a virtual stop. It isn’t marked in any visible way for pedestrians and can only be viewed on the map in the hvv switch app where it is shown as an address. Since the address of the stop is displayed in the hvv switch app, you can use the app to find it. The map will also show you though whether or not you’re in the right place. These stops can be found throughout MOIA’s service region in Hamburg. The walking distance from anywhere within this region will usually be no more than 250 metres. The stops are clearly defined. MOIA drivers aren’t able to take you and other passengers directly to your front door like a taxi would.

Unfortunately not. hvv switch customers do not yet receive any payment for refuelling sharing vehicles.
At the moment it is possible to book MOIA shuttles, SIXT share, ccambio Free2Move and MILES vehicles such as Voi eScooter and a selected range of hvv tickets (& Deutschlandticket) using the hvv switch app. We plan to expand this offer step by step. In the long term, you’ll be able to travel using the services of all partners involved, all from this one single app. You only have to register once, then book and pay for everything using the same app.
You can park in all publicly accessible parking lots, at hvv switch points, and in the designated areas at Hamburg Airport. In “parking disc zones,” you must use a parking disc (no parking ticket required). Please note: Parking time is limited here; the rental cannot be ended, only interrupted.
The rental can be ended within the Hamburg business area. This is permitted at hvv switch points as long as they are located in the business area of the respective provider. In addition, the following applies:
- MILES: Ending also possible in other MILES cities
- SIXT share: Termination also possible at SIXT rental stations, even outside Hamburg
- cambio & Dorfstromer: Start and end must always take place at the same hvv switch point
Please ensure that the vehicle is parked properly in accordance with traffic regulations on public roads for at least 48 hours. It is not permitted to end the rental:
- in parking garages, underground garages, or covered areas
- in private parking lots (e.g., backyards, parking garage areas)
- in parking spaces reserved for residents only
- in zones with parking discs or time limits that take effect within 48 hours
- in parking spaces for electric vehicles (except with an electric car)
- in “no parking” areas, which are marked in red in the app
Please also observe the detailed parking rules of your providers (SIXT share, Free2move, cambio, MILES). In principle, the local traffic regulations always apply.
This is most probably due to the fact that you failed to confirm your e-mail address within the first seven days after registering. When you create your hvv switch account, you’ll automatically receive a registration confirmation e-mail, sent to your personal e-mail inbox. This e-mail will contain a link that you can click to confirm your e-mail address.
We want to make sure that you really are the owner of this e-mail address and that important information and invoices can be sent to you securely. If you haven’t received the e-mail, you can request that a new confirmation e-mail be sent in your account or profile.
Billing for the following month is always initiated from the penultimate working day (Mon.-Fri.) of a month using the payment method you have stored in hvv switch.
In this way, we ensure that the direct debit for the selected SEPA payment method does not take place before the 1st of the month.
We use LOGPAY to process the payment transactions. That’s why you’ll find this name on your invoices.
SIXT share & Free2move
Calculation of the rental price is dynamic. It depends, among other things, on the time and place of the rental, as well as on the model of car. Before you start the rental, you will be shown the various rental conditions for each car in the app. Details about the respective rates are available with the respective mobility partner.
Please note that not all of the rates listed are valid for hvv switch.
MILES
With MILES, you generally pay per kilometer driven. The applicable rates can be found in the MILES fare overview. You can find out about other fees and costs at MILES, such as the unlocking fee or the minimum amount for L and XL class vehicles, here. Please note that not all MILES tariffs are valid for hvv switch.

The price is made up of the price per kilometer and the price per hour. The price per hour depends on the price category, i.e. the vehicle model, the time of day, the day of the week and the rental period. Added to this is the amount per kilometer driven.
In principle, you can change your personal data saved in the hvv switch app at any time by simply logging into the hvv switch app and opening your customer profile. You can then change and save your data accordingly. Please note that altering certain data may result in it having to be verified once again, e.g. your mobile phone number or your chosen method of payment. The e-mail address saved for your account can never be changed. If you ever need to change such information, please contact our hvv switch customer service.
If you have successfully validated your driving licence, you can change your personal data and driving licence data via the app. However, this means that you will have to validate your driving licence again in order to be able to use providers that require a driving licence. You can change the address of your place of residence at any time without having to validate your driving licence again.
You can conveniently use the SEPA direct debit system. Alternatively, you can also use Paypal and credit/debit card as a means of payment.
