In the short term, it may help to carry out the first activation with a stable internet connection (e.g. in the WLAN) and/or to close and restart the app.
The drivers will take you to the specific destination you requested. MOIA shuttles cannot stop for passengers. Disembarking earlier than planned isn’t possible in the majority of cases. This is because this would make it impossible to create routes for the MOIA shuttles.
In principle, yes you can. You can select a starting point or destination that’s up to one kilometre outside the MOIA service region. Your walk to the pick-up point or from the drop-off point to your destination will then simply be extended accordingly.
You can cancel your booking free of charge in the hvv switch app right up until shortly before the shuttle is due to depart. You cannot change your booking after this point in time. If you need to change something about the shuttle you requested once you’ve successfully booked your trip, you’ll have to cancel it first and then request a shuttle that suits your plans.
This shouldn’t normally happen. But sometimes, especially during rush hour or busy traffic times, all MOIA shuttles might be fully occupied at any given time. We would ask in such exceptional cases that you be patient for a moment and then try again.
MOIAs are equipped with a child seat in groups 1/2/3 (9-36 kg) and a booster seat (from 125 cm and 22 kg), which can be booked in the hvv switch app subject to availability. Please bring the appropriate baby seat yourself for smaller children and babies. Two of the seats in the vehicle are equipped with ISOFIX holders.
You are responsible for setting up the child seat or infant carrier and buckling your child in safely. The MOIA drivers will be happy to help you with this. This is how you book the right seat:
- Select one or more adults in your booking request.
- Add one or more children.
- You can now open the booking options for children.
- Select the child seat, booster seat or both and submit your request.

All services in the hvv switch app are activated for payment via hvv M. You can find the current mobility offer directly in the hvv switch app. You can also use it to pay for the Deutschlandticket subscription that you order via hvv switch.
The direct debit is usually debited on the next working day. If you have placed several orders/purchases per day, a total amount will be debited.
