If you transfer your hvv subscription to the hvv switch app, the subscription on the hvv Card is automatically cancelled. Your card loses its validity.
In the hvv switch app the Deutschlandticket is immediately available and can be used immediately.

hvv Subscription Takeover
Billing for the following month is always initiated from the penultimate working day (Mon.-Fri.) of a month using the payment method you have stored in hvv switch.
In this way, we ensure that the direct debit for the selected SEPA payment method does not take place before the 1st of the month.

As much time as you need for your decision - your switch code, which can be seen on the back of the letter, does not lose its validity.
If you do not carry out the takeover for the time being, a new hvv chip card will arrive in the next few weeks, as the creation has already been triggered. However, since your original hvv subscription will be cancelled by the takeover, the hvv card will then be invalid.
