FAQ
Autonomous Shuttles
If you have been selected to take part in the test operation of the autonomous shuttles, you will receive an e-mail from us with a one-time redeemable access code.
You can find the application form for participation in the test operation here.
How to activate the function:
- In the hvv switch app, click on “More” (three dots) in the bottom right corner of the menu bar and then open the beta features.
- Select the “Autonomous shuttles” entry.
- Enter your access code there and follow the instructions for activation.
After entering the code, we will check your details and may ask you for further information, such as
- name
- date of birth
- payment method
In addition, you must agree to some terms and conditions, e.g. the General Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. You can then use the beta function.
Even though journeys with the autonomous shuttles are free of charge as part of the test operation, a valid payment method is required for all bookings in the app.
Good to know: You can of course also use hvv switch for other mobility services!
Yes, you must agree to these terms and conditions in order to participate in the test mode. They regulate the rights and obligations for the use of the beta function.
We have deliberately reduced the content to the necessary minimum.
You can deactivate the beta function in the following ways:
- via the link in the email communication,
- directly in the app,
- or by contacting hvv switch customer service.
Please note: After deactivation, it is no longer possible to book further autonomous journeys. Re-entry into the test group requires re-registration and activation.
To get started, you can find the autonomous shuttles via the usual booking channel for MOIA - exactly where you book regular MOIA vehicles.
We need the following information for a trip request:
- Start address
- Destination address
- Number of passengers
Important: Initially, autonomous rides are only possible if
- you are traveling for one person,
- within the service area and
- within the specified times.
You can find the latest information on the area and times directly in the app.
No. For legal reasons, booking is currently only possible for yourself.
Unfortunately not at present. Bookings are currently only possible for one unaccompanied person. Important: Wheelchairs cannot currently be transported in the autonomous shuttles.
As an alternative, the regular MOIA vehicles with driver are still available.
