The ultimate update!

The update for our hvv switch app is now published in the app stores. As usual, the release will be gradually distributed to all customers in the app stores over the course of seven days. To ensure you are well prepared, we have compiled all the relevant information for you here.

New app – 5 features you can use now:

  • Customise your home page to suit your needs.
  • Add tickets that you need frequently as favourites. They will appear as soon as you open the app and can be purchased with a single click.
  • Arrange widgets as you need them, or simply remove unnecessary functions from the home page. 

  • Purchase the hvv ticket for your route directly from the connection information. The appropriate ticket will be suggested automatically and you can purchase it directly in the app.
  • All hvv tickets are now available in the hvv switch app.

  • Set up your disruption alerts in a more targeted way now – select the entire line or only the sections that are relevant to you.
  • Set individual time periods – this way, you will only receive disruption notifications when you need them.

  • Purchase personalised hvv tickets easily by entering your name, even for third parties.
  • You can conveniently access your own ticket and that of your companion on the same smartphone in the hvv switch app under ‘Journeys’. Please note: The ticket is only valid if you, as the purchaser, can show it on your smartphone for your companion.

  • In the new menu bar at the bottom of the screen, which replaces the previous app menu at the top left, you can find all the important areas at a glance.
  • For example, under ‘Journeys’ you will find your saved connections and previously purchased tickets, as well as your active hvv Deutschlandticket.

Good to know:

The changes only affect the hvv switch app – prices for hvv tickets and services remain unchanged.

The update will be available in a few days, and you will be able to discover the new hvv switch app. If your smartphone performs automatic updates, you do not need to do anything. Otherwise, please update the app manually to be able to use all the new features.

Our goal is to further improve the user-friendliness of the hvv switch app for you. That's why we have evaluated numerous suggestions from the hvv switch community and tested them in a closed test group. The upcoming changes are based directly on your user experiences.
