Information about accessibility

This statement on accessibility applies to the hvv switch app, created by HOCHBAHN AG in Hamburg.

As a public body according to the definition in Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we strive to make the hvv switch app accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Hamburg Act on Equal Opportunities for People with Disabilities (in German: HmbBGG) and the Hamburg Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (in German: HmbBITVO) with regard to the implementation of the Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Within the scope of the resources available to us, we work on developing and improving the hvv switch app on an ongoing basis. The aim of ensuring barrier-free access to all content is particularly important to us. This is reflected not least in the fact that we provide a feature in the app settings that changes known and non-accessible content or functions so that they become accessible. But we also know that we are not perfect. So please don’t hesitate to contact us if you come across a barrier within the hvv switch app. You will find our contact details in the side menu of the app under “Contact”.

Arbitration procedure

If no satisfactory solution has been found even after you have provided feedback to us, you have the option to contact the Arbitration Office in accordance with Paragraph 13a of the HmbBGG. This Arbitration Office then has the task of supporting an out-of-court settlement for disputes between people with disabilities and public bodies on the issue of accessibility. The arbitration procedure is free of charge. No legal counsel needs to be involved.

Currently, the Ombudsman’s Office of the Senate Chancellery in Hamburg is assuming the activities of the Arbitration Office, which has yet to be established.
