You can conveniently use the SEPA direct debit system. Alternatively, you can also use Paypal and credit/debit card as a means of payment.
If you transfer your hvv subscription to the hvv switch app, the subscription on the chip card is automatically cancelled. Your card loses its validity.
In the hvv switch app the Deutschlandticket is immediately available and can be used immediately.
Billing for the following month is always initiated from the penultimate working day (Mon.-Fri.) of a month using the payment method you have stored in hvv switch.
In this way, we ensure that the direct debit for the selected SEPA payment method does not take place before the 1st of the month.

It can occasionally happen that your hvv Deutschlandticket or booked tickets are not displayed after a downtime. If this happens to you, please delete the hvv switch app from your smartphone and reinstall it. You will then be able to view your purchased tickets as usual.
You can generally change your name directly in your profile. Please note that if the hvv Deutschlandticket was purchased via the hvv switch app, your name will be automatically updated when the ticket for the following month is issued.
Important: If your account is validated with a driver’s license, this validation will be temporarily suspended as a result of the name change.
To resume using services that require a driver’s license, simply complete a new validation using your updated identification document.

The City of Hamburg’s social discount can be applied for retroactively for a maximum of 3 months for the hvv Deutschlandticket on a chip card and the hvv Jobticket in the Wallet. The Hamburg social discount cannot be applied retroactively to a ticket in the hvv switch app.
